Our Work:
At ACORN we are committed to advancing regenerative business practices across Africa. We focus on three key areas: health, energy, and water. Our work is grounded in the belief that sustainable business can be leveraged to create positive impacts on the environment, the economy, and society.
Our projects are at the heart of our work and are designed to promote regenerative commerce and create a healthier environment for all. Our members are actively involved in these projects, and they benefit from networking opportunities that arise from these collaborative initiatives.

An auditing tool designed to evaluate companies across their economic, climate, social, and ecological impacts in the African context; improving transparency and informing consumer decisions.
The Green Funding Database Project is an initiative that aims to provide a comprehensive listing of accelerators, competitions, grants, and incubators available for green startups in Africa. The project aims to streamline the search for funding opportunities for African green startups, ultimately increasing their chances of success.
Our expert masterclass webinar series provides regenerative chamber members across Africa with access to wisdom and expertise on important topics, while facilitating dialogue and conversation.
Our in-person networking events are exclusive to our commercial members and provide an opportunity to connect and engage with like-minded individuals. Members can also participate as panelists and showcase their expertise in the industry.
More details on our projects can be explored below. ACORN is open to working with stakeholders of all sizes to develop and implement effective green economy projects. Contact us for more info.
The Green Scale is a cutting-edge auditing tool designed to evaluate companies across their economic, climate, social, and ecological impacts in the African context. By assessing each of these areas, the Green Scale can determine at what level of regenerative business a company is operating, providing a comprehensive overview of their sustainability efforts.
Once a company has been audited, they can earn open badges that are backed by blockchain technology. These badges can be used to demonstrate a company’s sustainability achievements, providing greater transparency and impact marketing potential.
By using the Green Scale, companies can identify areas for improvement and work towards becoming more sustainable, while customers can make better-informed decisions when choosing to support businesses that align with their values. The Green Scale aims to foster a more regenerative economy, where businesses operate in a way that benefits both people and the planet while embracing and enriching the African cultures and landscapes they are embedded in.
The Green Funding Database Project is an initiative that aims to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date listing of accelerators, competitions, grants, and incubators available for green startups in Africa. The project aims to streamline the search for funding opportunities for African green startups, ultimately increasing their chances of success. By listing all available funding options in one place, the project will make it easier for green startups to access the financial support they need to grow and thrive.
The database will be an invaluable resource for entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders in the green startup ecosystem, streamlining the search for funding opportunities for African green startups and ultimately increasing their chances of success. In addition to benefiting green startups, the project will also provide significant value to our parastatal and funding partners. By contributing to the database, they will be able to market their funding opportunities to their target audience effectively. This will result in increased visibility and engagement, ultimately helping to attract a higher quality and more diverse pool of applicants.
The Green Funding Database Project represents an exciting opportunity to promote and support sustainable development across the African continent. By bringing together key players in the green startup ecosystem and providing a central platform for funding opportunities, the project has the potential to drive innovation, create jobs, and help build a more resilient and sustainable future.

Our events offer an excellent opportunity for members to showcase their expertise and connect with other thought leaders in their fields.
